and Genome Medicines, headed by Dr. Amy Wagers in Harvard’s Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology (HSCRB), invites applications from highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows to join our team. Our lab uses stem cell biology, immunology and genome engineering to unravel fundamental mechanisms of tissue regeneration and to develop new gene and cell therapies for currently incurable human diseases. Ongoing
projects include:1. Interrogating fundamental mechanisms of blood and skeletal muscle stem cell function in tissue regeneration2. Engineering and testing new in vivo gene transfer technologies3. Developing strategies to induce immune tolerance to therapeutic proteins and tissue autoantigens.4. Advancing curative therapies for rare genetic diseases and age-related disorders The successful candidate will have a
track-record of research productivity in molecular and cell biology, immunology, and/or vertebrate physiology. Experience with one or more of the following is welcome, but not required: flow cytometry, viral or non-viral gene transfer technologies, AI/ML based modeling, or the execution of in vivo functional genetic screens. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, execute and interpret experiments related to stem
cell-mediated tissue repair, immune tolerance, gene transfer and therapeutics development.2. Work both independently and collaboratively with other lab members to advance shared research goals.3. Collect, annotate and safeguard raw data; analyze experiments in a rigorous and timely manner.4. Collaborate with academic partners and industry collaborators on interdisciplinary research projects, communicating clearly
with PIs, postdocs, student, and research staff.5. Publish and present findings at internal meetings, scientific conferences and peer-reviewed journals.6.
