District.Job description:POSITION SUMMARYThe Visual and Performing Arts Division at Citrus College believes that to be a successful twenty-first century artist, you must be an artist that takes a multi-dimensional approach. Our courses are designed to assist students in achieving their educational goals, whether that is attaining transfer degrees to university, or completing career/technical certificates for those

who desire to enter directly into the entertainment workforce. We are committed to giving a cross-disciplinary education that provides multi- faceted opportunities for students. Join our Visual and Performing Arts team as we offer a variety of pathways to a diverse student population.This tenure track instructor position is a 10-month (175 days) assignment which will consist primarily of classes in acting, directing,

rehearsal/performance, introduction to theatre/theatre history, and script analysis. Course load will include such courses as Acting I/II/III/IV, Introduction to Theatre, Acting for the Camera, and Directing. Based on the candidate’s strengths, other classroom assignments will be selected from candidate expertise in areas such as body movement, stage combat, musical theatre, or technique specific acting such as

Stanislavski or Meisner methodologies. Active student recruitment activities and contribution to the excellence of the Theatre Department are essential. This assignment will include day, evening, and weekend responsibilities as well as the willingness to direct at least one full-length theatre project during the academic year.Classes are offered on a 16-week calendar (fall and spring semesters), as well as in a

variety of non-traditional scheduling options: winter intersession, evenings, summer sessions, and optional class formats, such as online education courses.This position is contingent upon funding and final Board approval.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE– Demonstrated understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, cultural background,
