Position summary

Abaci Lab at The Columbia University Medical Center, Department of Dermatology and Biomedical Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist interested in working on bioengineered 3D tissue models and tissue grafts. The tissue types include but not limited to the skin, vasculature, cornea and bladder. This is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant, diverse, and collaborative team of

basic and translational investigators. A competitive candidate would have prior experience on 2D/3D cell culture, 3D-(bio)printing, biomaterials, standard biochemistry assays, histology and immunofluorescence microscopy, and have a strong track record of publications.    Roles and Responsibilities Generating 3D skin, cornea and vascular models using hydrogels (e.g., collagen) and primary or iPSC-derived

cells. Designing and performing in vivo wound healing experiments in mice and/or pigs. Analyses, interpretation, presentation and publication of the data. Assist with grant writing.
