The Yang Lab studies fundamental mechanisms of cell-cycle regulation in normal and cancer cells, with a focus on how dysregulated cell-cycle control contributes to tumor heterogeneity and therapeutic resistance. We are seeking a curious, rigorous, and highly motivated postdoctoral Scientist to join our team and lead an exciting, well-supported research project in cell-cycle and cancer biology. Our approaches We
integrate in vitro , in vivo , and human specimen studies using: Live single-cell imaging to track heterogeneous populations, cell-cycle progression, and cancer cell evolution at single-cell resolution Single-cell and bulk RNA-seq to define tumor progression and cell-state programs in mouse and human tissues Multiplex single-cell and tissue imaging to map diverse cell populations in cell lines and the tumor
microenvironment Prior experience in any of these areas is welcomed but not required . What you’ll do Lead an independent project on cell-cycle regulation and tumor heterogeneity Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results with rigor Prepare manuscripts and contribute to grant-supported research aims Present findings at internal and external meetings Mentor trainees (students/technicians) as
appropriate Columbia University is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
