Position summary

The laboratory of Sheng-Han Kuo is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to conduct human cerebellar physiology studies using EEG in patients with movement disorders such as ataxia and tremor. This role focuses on investigating disease-related cerebellar circuit dysfunction using EEG and integrating neurophysiological data with clinical and behavioral measures in a translational research

setting.  The successful candidate will design and execute EEG experiments, perform EEG data acquisition and analysis, and apply advanced statistical analysis and signal processing techniques (e.g., spectral, connectivity, and time-frequency analyses). Responsibilities include programming and analysis using MATLAB or Python, developing behavioral paradigms, and managing clinical datasets in compliance with IRB

protocols.  Candidates are expected to independently lead projects from conception through publication and grant submission while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are essential.  Our lab is highly collaborative and committed to high-impact translational research bridging human and preclinical studies. The position offers

mentorship in grant writing and support for career development. Responsibilities  • Design, implement, and manage human EEG studies in patients with movement disorders, including ataxia and tremor. • Acquire, preprocess, and analyze EEG data using advanced statistical analysis, signal processing, and time-frequency methods. • Perform EEG data analysis using tools such as MATLAB or Python. Develop and maintain

experimental paradigms • Integrate EEG findings with clinical, behavioral, and neuroimaging data to support translational research objectives. • Manage and organize clinical datasets, ensuring accurate clinical data management and adherence to data quality standards. • Collaborate with clinicians, research coordinators, and multidisc
