Position summary

About the Opportunity JOB SUMMARY The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will conduct independent and collaborative research at the intersection of epidemiology, environmental health, biostatistics, and child development. The Fellow will contribute to the design, execution, and dissemination of research examining how early environmental exposures, including biological, social, and physical factors, influence child

developmental outcomes. The Fellow is expected to demonstrate methodological rigor, intellectual initiative, and the ability to translate complex quantitative findings for multidisciplinary audiences. QUALIFICATIONS Required: Doctoral degree (PhD) in Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Biostatistics, Child Development, Public Health, or a closely related discipline Demonstrated expertise in quantitative research

methodology and advanced statistical analysis, including experience with large longitudinal or population-level datasets Background in at least two of the following areas: epidemiological methods, environmental health science, developmental psychology or pediatric research, or biostatistics Preferred: Experience with early childhood cohort studies or mother-infant research paradigms Familiarity with environmental

exposure assessment (e.g., PFAS, air quality, nutritional biomarkers, or toxicant exposure in early life) Experience analyzing associations between perinatal or postnatal environmental exposures and neurodevelopmental, behavioral, or health outcomes in children Knowledge of causal inference methods (e.g., propensity score analysis, directed acyclic graphs, mediation analysis) Grant writing experience and/or

demonstrated success in securing external funding Experience mentoring graduate or undergraduate students in a research setting Familiarity or experience with the Environmental influences to Child Health Outcomes national database KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES Design and execute statistical analyses of epidemiological and environmental health data, including longitudinal datasets from mother-infant cohort

studies. Apply advanced biostatistical methods (e.g., mixed-effects models, mediation analysis, survival analysis) to examine associations between early environmental exposures and child developmental outcomes. Lead the preparation and submission of peer-reviewed manuscripts. Contribute to the development of grant applications targeting environmental health, child development, or epidemiological research.
