Working with Dr. Zhongzheng (Jason)
Niu, EEH Assistant Professor, the postdoctoral associate will work on research projects pertaining to cardiometabolic health through a life course perspective. Possible projects include examining environmental risk factors (e.g., air pollution, heatwave, endocrine disrupting chemicals) on biological aging (telomere length, epigenetic clocks), and multi-omics integration (epigenome, mitochondrial functions, and
metabolomics). The postdoctoral associate will receive training on data analysis with advanced statistical approaches, publishing high-impact journal articles, successful grant writing, and career development. The candidate will be expected to manage and analyze existing data, work as part of a functional team, write manuscripts and present research results at scientific conferences. Depending on interest, the
candidate may also participate in an ongoing clinical trial of post-partum hypertension and depression. The postdoctoral associate should be self-motivated, creative, productive, and organized. Successful candidates should possess advanced expertise in statistical programming languages such as SAS, Stata and/or R. There is funding available for this position for up to two years, however, the appointment will be
reviewed and renewed on an annual basis. This is an in-person position, and candidates will be expected to be physically present at the University at Buffalo for the duration of the appointment.
