Job Description: Stony Brook University’s School of Professional Development is seeking part-time lecturers to teach a variety of courses in the Master of Liberal Arts (MALS) online graduate program (see below). These courses are pedagogy classes amied at K-12
teachers. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated educators and subject-matter experts committed to delivering high-quality, engaging, and rigorous online education to graduate students. This is a remote teaching role with flexible hours. The candidate should understand K-12 pedagogy and the K-12 classroom. Key Responsibilities: ● Teach one or more asynchronous courses per
academic term or as needed. ● Develop or adapt course materials, including syllabus, course learning outcomes, course content, and assessments, in collaboration with instructional designers in the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching ● Commitment to effective teaching and student engagement ● Provide timely and constructive formative and summative feedback to
