Description The University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine invites applications for musculoskeletal physiatrists to join our Division of Sports & Spine. This will be a full-time appointments on the Clinical Practice Track and may be at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW’s Faculty Code
Section 24-34. Position FTE may be negotiable. Start date anticipated by Fall 2026, but other dates may be considered. The Sports & Spine Division in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is a well-established group practice, with 18 faculty members across several clinic locations. We provide the highest quality patient-centered care, with each faculty member offering a unique contribution to the field of
physical medicine and rehabilitation. The individual hired will be expected to provide excellent patient care in spine, sports, and/or general musculoskeletal (MSK) medicine. The clinical environment is an outpatient practice embedded within an academic department. The emphasis will be on a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on sports and spine medicine. Will be expected to perform procedures
including but not limited to lumbar spinal injections. This position practices in a collaborative and multidisciplinary academic environment. This work requires strong collaboration with treatment team members, including the surgical spine team. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. In addition to clinical work, teaching, scholarship, and service are integral to all Clinical
Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the Clinical Practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid
