Sport Department within the College of Education and Human Development. Responsibilities include: (1) teach graduate level courses; (2) advise graduate students; (3) assist in the recruitment and selection of new students; and 4) contribute service to the University’s urban mission, to University and Departmental committees, and to professional associations. The SC program is accredited by the Masters in Psychology
and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC) for the period of September 2024 through September 2032. Students enrolled receive instruction to prepare students for licensure in Massachusetts. Requirements: Candidates must be a School Counselor or have a degree in a related field. A doctorate is preferred but master’s level counselors with extensive experience will also be considered. It is also preferred that
candidates have Massachusetts Licensure as a School Counselor. Experience supporting racially and ethnically diverse individuals in schools is highly desirable.
