The Assistant Professor will primarily teach undergraduate and graduate classes in the Department of Kinesiology to a diverse
group of students who could potentially be Exercise Science, Physical Education, Sport Administration, and Sport and Performance Psychology majors. The faculty member will also engage in scholarly activity at the R2 level, seek external funding, serve on committees at all levels of faculty governance, provide academic advising to students, chair and serve on thesis committees, and maintain collaborative relationships
within and outside the Department, including community outreach. Primary teaching responsibilities and specific assignments will depend upon Department needs and priorities. Overview The Department of Kinesiology is in the College of Health and Human Services at California State University, Fresno. The Department is one of the largest on campus and has approximately 1,000 undergraduate students pursuing Bachelor’s
degrees in Kinesiology. Undergraduate Kinesiology degrees include Exercise Science, Physical Education, and Sport Administration. In addition, the Department has approximately 75 graduate students pursuing Master’s degrees in either Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Sport and Performance Psychology, or Sport Administration.
