Highland Hospital delivers approximately 3000 babies per year and has historically had an impressively low
20% Cesarean rate. Our longstanding Surgical Obstetrics fellowship is expanding from 2 to 4 fellows per year with a new emphasis on training physicians for rural practice funded by our recent HRSA grant. This one-year faculty appointment is designed to train Family Medicine physicians high-risk obstetrics, surgical assisting, and management of common newborn conditions. You will be trained in rural health care,
