Teaching Hospital evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a broad array of diseases that either primarily or secondarily affect the nervous system. The Neurology service has high-quality facilities, a strong clinical case load, and a great support team. Essential Job Duties Teaching 40-45% Clinical: Provide instruction to 3rd and 4th-year Veterinary Medical Students in the clinical environment. Participate in the training of neurology residents and small
animal interns on rotation through the neurology service. Didactic: Provide lecture and laboratory instruction in the DVM curriculum on topics related to neurology Service and Outreach 40-45% Position will have an up to a 34-week clinical appointment (range 30 – 34) in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (small animal focused but opportunities to partner with other species management are available) Provide consultation
for veterinarians in Colorado and other states Develop and participate in professional continuing education for veterinarians Research 5-20% Continuing (non-tenure) track faculty are expected to collaborate with other faculty within or external to the service on research projects and contribute to publication of new information. Opportunities for independent research are available if a candidate desires the same.
