Posting Detail Information Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Position Summary The Department of Mathematics at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, invites applications for the appointment of a tenure-track Assistant Professor (10 month) specializing in applied mathematics. The position is anticipated to begin August 2027.Strong candidates working in any area of applied mathematics are encouraged to
apply. Post-doctoral experience is expected, although not absolutely required. The salary will be competitive. The normal teaching load for research-active faculty is three semester courses per academic year.The Department’s 25 tenure-track mathematics faculty and 42 doctoral students pursue research in algebra, analysis, applied mathematics, and geometry/topology.Candidates must submit a cover letter and curriculum
