Position description The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach courses for the department or the Environmental Sciences undergraduate degree
program. Course topics include geosciences (including geology, geochemistry, geophysics, and Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing with applications in the geosciences), planetary science, and/or environmental sciences. Applicants with expertise in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: geology; geochemistry, mineralogy; geophysics and seismology; geomorphology. A PhD (or equivalent
foreign degree) in an area of earth and/or planetary sciences will be highly valued.
