Children’s Hospitals is seeking faculty to join our team. Appointment will be made at the Associate or Full Professor ranks in the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical series. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Selected candidates will join a leading academic medical center and an NIH-funded GI fellowship training program, with opportunities across the San Francisco and Oakland campuses to contribute to the
Department’s mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care. Minimum Qualifications MD, DO, or equivalent degree. Eligibility for medical licensure in California. Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Gastroenterology. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching and supervising learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows. Strong clinical and procedural skills in
pediatric gastroenterology, endoscopy, hepatology, and related diagnostic or interventional procedures. Evidence of scholarly activity—peer-reviewed publications, clinical research, or presentations—in pediatric GI, hepatology, or nutrition. Interest or experience in academic pediatrics, including curriculum development, quality improvement, or leadership roles. Experience in multidisciplinary or collaborative care
models (e.g., working with surgery, hepatology, nutrition, or other subspecialties). The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5.
