Position description The Division of Hematology Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine, at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for a

full-time academic leadership position in Professor In-Residence, Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine (Clinical X: Clinician-Investigator) , or Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP: Clinician-Educator) series at the Associate or Full Professor Rank. Faculty in the In-Residence series are expected to engage in teaching, independent research and creative work, demonstrate professional competence and activity,

and provide University and public service. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. For the Clinical X and In-Residence appointments, the applicant must have the ability to develop and implement investigator-initiated research, obtain extramural funding, and conduct collaborative science as a

team member and leader. Typically, more research effort is allocated to faculty in the Clinical X and In-Residence series, dependent on performance and funding. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service. For the HSCP appointment, the applicant must have the ability

to make significant contributions to research teams. The successful candidate will be a physician-leader who will serve as Chief of the Division of Hematology Oncology. This recruitment is conducted only at these ranks and the resulting hire will only be at the Associate/Full rank.
