Job DescriptionWeber State University’s Annie Taylor Dee School of Nursing is excited to announce an opening for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist (CRNA) faculty member with an appointment as Assistant Program Director. This is a 12-month position that can be filled as either a tenure-track position or an instructor position with the option to move to a tenure-track position at a later date, depending on
the candidate’s qualifications. While the candidate will initially be hired as a faculty member with an administrative appointment, the CRNA Assistant Program Director role is not necessarily a permanent part of this position as the role may rotate through the faculty within the department in the future.This faculty member appointment has primary responsibilities in teaching, student evaluation, and ongoing
curriculum development within the nurse anesthesia program. This individual maintains an active teaching role, contributing to didactic, simulation, and/or clinical education. In addition to faculty responsibilities, the Assistant Program Director supports the Program Director in select administrative functions, including curriculum oversight, student recruitment, retention, and progression, while ensuring alignment
with accreditation standards established by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.In accordance with COA standards, the Assistant Program Director must be qualified to assume leadership responsibilities and acting authority for the program in the Director’s absence.
