Position overview Position title: College Nine Elective Courses Pre-six Lecturer Salary range: A reasonable estimate for an appointment to teach the standard five-credit course is $8,872 - $15,104 (based on salary points 1-19). Please see the UCSC Salary Scales and refer to the Non-senate Instructional (NSI) Unit 18 Pre-six Lecturer Academic Year scale. Instructional Workload Credit (IWC) valuation may vary and the

course salary will be adjusted accordingly. Compensation for Summer Session courses may vary from courses taught during the academic year (see Summer Session Faculty and Lecturer Pay). Percent time: Variable, based on the course load assigned. Anticipated start: Appointments are contingent on the hiring unit’s instructional need and the availability of funding. description College Nine at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach College Nine enhancement courses under the general direction of the College Nine College Provost. A complete list of the College Nine courses and their descriptions can be viewed in the UCSC Catalog. These courses offer students the opportunity for small,

seminar-style classes at the college level and they are designed to augment or enhance general education requirements and disciplinary courses. The enhancement courses focus on College Nine’s theme of International and Global Perspective.
