Assistant/Associate Professor Tenure Status Tenure Track Payroll Status Faculty 9 Job Description The Department of Management, Information Systems, and Quantitative Methods (MISQ) in the Collat School of Business at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty member, at the rank of Assistant Professor in Management with a focus in Human Resources (HR), to begin Fall

Required Qualifications Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in Management or a related business discipline from an AACSB-accredited degree program at the time of hire. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to maintain a strong record of research and scholarship relating to management/HR. Teaching

experience and an interest in management and HR are required.• Earned doctorate in Management or a related business discipline from an AACSB-accreditedinstitution at the time of hire.• Demonstrated commitment to research and teaching excellence in management and human resources.• Demonstrated in-person and/or online teaching effectiveness, including innovativepedagogy and student engagement• Experience using

technology, such as generative AI and data analytics, in teaching and/orresearch.• U.S. citizen and permanent resident. Preferred Qualifications • Two or more years of teaching experience at the university level, particularly teachingmanagement and human resources courses.• Two or more years of industry experience.• Experience developing graduate and/or undergraduate curriculum.• Demonstrated ability to build
