Details Position Description General Internal Medicine Hospitalist and Consultative Medicine Open Positions AY 2026-27 The Hospital Medicine Program, part of the Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) and the Department of Medicine, is currently accepting online applications. GIM will review candidate applications for positions on the Hospital Medicine Service and Medicine Consult Service. Candidates may be
considered at individual or multiple sections of GIM—Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington Medical Center (Montlake and Northwest Campuses), and VA Puget Sound Health Care System. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. These positions will hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual
terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Hospital Medicine Program at HMC offers daytime and/or night-time positions. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to providing high value care to the patients of HMC in the spirit of service to our community’s most vulnerable populations with a special dedication to improving health systems, medical education and scholarship. Daytime hospitalists will have the opportunity to work on a variety of
clinical services ranging from primary medicine services, consultative medicine and perioperative medicine services, with opportunities to interact with students and residents from a variety of departments.
