full-time or Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PCCSM), Department of Medicine. The successful candidate will conduct both day and night ICU-based clinical work with patient care efforts at Harborview Medical Center (HMC) and the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC), Montlake and Northwest Campuses. PCCSM staffs a range of general and specialized ICU
services across these diverse campuses. This position frequently includes clinical bedside teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and often involves multi-disciplinary care of complex patients. This position may be comprised of a mix of daytime and nighttime assignments or full-time night assignments in one or more ICUs depending on clinical need and provider interest. University of Washington faculty
engage in teaching, research, and service. Full-time Clinical Assistant Professors hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1–June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July–June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The anticipated start date
for these positions is July 2026 or later. The full-time base salary range for these positions will be: $19,250–$20,334 per month ($231,000–$244,008 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with these positions may include a clinical coverage overload (CCO) paid at a per shift or per week rate,
depending on clinical assignments.
