Clinical Assistant Professor - Pain Management Anesthesiologist Syracuse Physician, Faculty & Librarians Part-time Opening on: Apr 14 2026 Anesthesiology State of New York Clinical Assistant Professor HS, NSC5 89207 UUP (State University Professional Services Unit) Job Summary: Clinical Responsibilities:- Evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of acute and chronic pain conditions - Develop individualized,

multimodal treatment plans focused on improving function and quality of life - Perform image-guided interventional pain procedures (as applicable to training and credentialing) - Provide medication management in accordance with best practices and regulatory guidelines - Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapy, behavioral health, neurology, and surgical specialties - Maintain timely,

accurate, and compliant clinical documentation Teaching & Education:- Provide clinical supervision and teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows - Participate in formal didactic education, lectures, and case conferences - Contribute to curriculum development and educational innovation - Serve as a mentor to trainees and junior learners Research & Scholarly Activity:- Engage in scholarly activity consistent

with academic rank and institutional expectations - Participate in clinical research, quality improvement projects, or outcomes-based studies - Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at regional or national meetings - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on research initiatives Administrative & Service Responsibilities:- Participate in departmental, institutional, and committee activities - Contribute to

program development and growth of pain management services - Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives - Comply with all institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards Minimum Qualifications: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Must be Board Eligible (in the exam process) or board certified in Pain. Fellowship training in Pain Medicine required.Must have NYS

License and DEA. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and academic medicine Preferred Qualifications: Core Competencies:- Expertise in multimodal, non-operative pain management - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Commitment to patient-centered and evidence-based care - Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team - Interest in academic growth, research, and education Work Days: M-F 8:00
