and Behavioral Sciences, in collaboration with the Transplant Surgery Service, is seeking a full-time psychiatrist as an attending in our Consultation-Liaison (CL) psychiatry service, with a focus on providing inpatient and outpatient services to our transplant surgery division and providing inpatient and outpatient services to other medical services, teaching medical students, residents and fellows, and pursuing
scholarly activities. 50% of responsibilities will be provided to transplant CL activities, and 50% of remaining responsibilities will be provided to CL activities to other medical-surgical and OBGYN services. These relative allotments may vary during particular periods depending on service and educational needs. In transplant service, the successful candidate will: Serve as the leader of the Mental Health team
overseeing provision of mental health services by fellows, residents, psychologists, social workers, case managers, and nurses Provide direct clinical services, such as consultations, follow-up and pharmacologic and psychologic treatment Lead and participate in interdisciplinary meetings Teach trainees, and members from other disciplines Engage in scholarly activities, and mentor others in scholarly activities, such
as professional presentations, manuscript publications, and research In clinical service, the successful candidate will: Evaluate prospective transplant donors and recipients and provision of any needed mental health services prior to the transplant; evaluate and provision of any needed mental health services after the transplantation Participate in administrative work and attend administrative and clinical meetings
