UUP Job Summary: The Department of Urology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an On-Call Attending Physician / Clinical Assistant Professor (HS). The successful candidate will: Cover Urology and must submit to a schedule. Accept and work with Medicaid patients. Be physically available to be on-site in the hospital within a reasonable timeframe and be prepared to shift from work in private

practice to attend to emergencies. Understand and agree to, that one-day of call is equal to 24-hours. Allow patients seen in consultation at Downstate to be followed in physician's private practice. Cover all operations performed by residents, whether elective or emergent. Patients seen in consultations by residents must be seen, evaluated and have a signed note by the responsible on-call attending within 24-hours

of the consultation request. Required Qualifications: MD or DO Degree from an accredited medical school. New York State Medical Licensure. Certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Urology. Ability to demonstrate a sincere interest in patient care and resident education.
