Clinical Assistant Professor - General Syracuse Physician, Faculty & Librarians Full-time Opening on: Jan 6 2026 Family Medicine State of New York Clinical Assistant Professor HS, NSC5 87415 UUP (State University Professional Services Unit) Job Summary: You will engage primarily in clinical and educational activities with anappropriate balance of administration and scholarly/academicactivities. Teaching of medical

students and residents through anadministrative or academic role within the Department of FamilyMedicine are expected. Appropriate administrative duties will includeparticipation in the decision-making process of the department. Otherduties include but are limited to: teaching and liaison activities withother departments when appropriate, professional and personalcounseling of medical students, preparation and

delivery ofappropriate lectures and seminars, and provision of direct patientcare through the department's medical service group. Overallsupervision is provided by the Chair of the Department of FamilyMedicine, Norton College of Medicine, SUNY Upstate Medical University.ACTIVITIES: Anticipated clinical 80% including call, clinical care andoutside clinical obligations; 20% teaching residents or medicalstudents, and

others who are present in our Department with aprimary emphasis on the broad spectrum of Family Medicine.Participate in curriculum development and in the evaluation ofresidents/medical students. Maintain updated lecture series andmaterials needed to teach resident didactics or medical studentclinical skills and/or case studies curriculum. Other duties as directedby the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine.

Minimum Qualifications: Family Medicine MD/DO, NYS license, board-certified Preferred Qualifications: Family Medicine MD/DO, NYS license, board-certified. 2-3 yearsexperience working in an outpatient Family Medicine practicepreferred Work Days: Generally M-F 8am-4:30pm some early morning or early evening meetings Salary Range/Pay Rate: DOQ Message to Applicants: Please submit CV and cover letter with application.
