and Seattle Children’s Hospital is recruiting a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology attending to join the Acute Care Oncology team in Seattle, Washington. Position is full-time at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor level. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The
successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment renewable beginning fall/winter of 2026. Responsibilities include providing in-hospital overnight attending care for medical issues arising in Hematology, Oncology, and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) patients, and supervision and clinical teaching of residents. Applicants should be comfortable with the inpatient
care of sick children. Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate Professors, and Clinical Professors hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1 - June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July - June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. As the
second largest Department in the UW School of Medicine, Pediatrics has twenty-one clinical divisions with approximately 1,400 academic appointments, including approximately 650 paid faculty members, 134 residents, 70 ACGME fellows, 230 staff employees and over 600 volunteer/affiliate faculty and continues to grow each year.
