Medicine, Department of Psychiatry is currently recruiting for a faculty psychiatrist for the Adult Psychiatry Division. This faculty position is part-time to full-time on the multi-mission, non-tenure track. This position will serve an active role in the clinical, educational, and scholarly life of the Department and the College of Medicine. Responsibilities include providing inpatient consult-liaison (CL)
psychiatry services, including providing initial psychiatric consultations and follow-up patient care at UF Shands Hospital, a 1,111 bed Level 1 trauma center with a children’s hospital, NCI-designated cancer institute, neuromedicine hospital and highly ranked solid organ transplant programs. The successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to explore and develop interests in outpatient CL
populations and in integrated psychiatric care in the primary care setting. In accordance with the crucial role that education plays in the UF Department of Psychiatry, the successful candidate for this position will also serve an important role in clinical education through supervision and teaching of UF medical students, psychiatry residents, and fellows. Opportunities to develop and/or participate in clinical
research and/or quality improvement projects are available, and clinical scholarship is strongly encouraged. This position will report to the Directors of the Division of CL Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry at UF. As a member of the clinical faculty of the Department of Psychiatry at UF, the position will require participation in on-call coverage of the UF Psychiatric Hospital. experience. Required Qualifications: Applicants must be Board Certified and/or Board Eligible for a M.D. in Psychiatry and must have or be able to obtain a state of Florida Medical License.
