Position description The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach various lower-division and upper-division undergraduate courses for the department. Course
topics include, but are not limited to, general chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, and biochemistry. Outstanding candidates with experience to teach courses in one or more of the above areas are encouraged to apply as are applicants with expertise in organic chemistry. A PhD (or equivalent foreign degree) in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field will be highly valued.
