Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure track) and/or Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Zoological Companion Animal Medicine and Surgery (clinical track) SALARY: The salary range for this position is $183,100-$236,400. “Off-scale salaries” and other components of pay i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step) are offered when necessary to meet

competitive conditions, qualifications, and experience. QUALIFICATIONS: Veterinarian with advanced clinical training and experience in companion exotic animal medicine and surgery. Board certification by the American College of Zoological Medicine required. For the Professor series faculty only, an advanced degree (MS and/or PhD) or experience mentoring in research is required. Documented research record or potential

to develop a focused research program in the discipline of zoological companion animal medicine or surgery is required. Demonstrated aptitude/experience in teaching in both clinical and didactic settings is desired. The individual must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere. A valid license to practice veterinary medicine

in California is required prior to beginning clinical duties (California Business and Professions Code Section 4846-4857).
