The Ph.D. Program in Theatre and Performance at the Graduate Center seeks an Associate Professor with tenure to begin in Fall 2027. Internationally recognized scholars whose work is transnational and collaborative in scope
are especially encouraged to apply. We seek a breadth of candidates and are particularly interested in applications from scholars working on European theatre and performance, with preference for those with research interests in one or more of the following areas: transatlantic and/or global engagements; theoretical approaches in theatre and/or performance studies; political and/or cultural contestations; and/or
mobility and movement. We wish to attract scholars who approach theatre and performance studies from an interdisciplinary and multilinguistic perspective through historically and theoretically grounded research.
