funding each year, including $10 million from the NIH. The Division has innovative basic, translational, and computational research programs in many areas of population-based and disease-specific genomics, development of widely used analytic tools, and applications of machine learning to genomic data. Leadership and Vision Provide visionary leadership to the Division of Genomics and Precision Medicine, setting strategic goals and objectives that align with the mission and vision of UC San Diego. cutting-edge research in human genomics (modern population genetics) and precision medicine, securing external funding from federal, state, and private sources.
