mission, in leading the Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI). The Director will also hold a qualified Associate/Full Professor position in an academic unit within the College of Education and Human Development. The Director is responsible for providing overall direction and oversight for the ICI thereby implementing the ICI’s mission and values. The Director will work with senior staff to integrate operations,
program development, strategic planning, academic and scholarly pursuits and external relationships across all interested partners and entities. The incumbent will be the public leader of the ICI and will help facilitate the integration of the activities of the ICI into the activities of the School for Global Inclusion and Social Development (SGISD) and the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD), as well
as other institutes and centers of the University of Massachusetts Boston; and coordinate all ICI activities occurring at Boston Children’s Hospital. Specific areas of responsibility include strategic planning, organizational leadership and development, management of the ICI’s diverse programs and functions. The Director will supervise the Associate Director and core senior faculty/staff. The Director serves as the
director of the University Center on Excellence in Developmental Disabilities and holds an appointment at Boston Children’s Hospital.
