for applicants at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, although applicants with the experience and accomplishments commensurate with a higher rank may be considered for an appointment at the rank of Associate Teaching Professor.Instructional track faculty in Nursing are primarily responsible for the teaching and supervision of nursing students in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings. Primary teaching

responsibilities will include the development and delivery of courses in the areas of Nursing Fundamentals, Maternal-Child Nursing, and Medical-Surgical Nursing or may be assigned based on need and as appropriate.Additional academic duties for all instructional-track faculty include participation in assessment activities and committee assignments. Responsibilities and Essential Duties Instruction of classes,

simulation, and clinical components as assigned. Direct and indirect oversight of students in diverse clinical settings, including direct, individualized supervision of patient care, physical assessments, nursing interventions, and the administration of medications. Coordination of clinical, lab, simulation and course assignments in collaboration with the faculty team within the academic level assigned. Evaluation of

students in class and clinical/lab settings. Regular communications with students regarding progress. Maintenance of student academic records. Uphold expected course outcomes. Participate in program assessment activities, committee assignments, and academic advising. Uphold high standards in teaching, advising, and service responsibilities. Advise, lead, supervise, motivate, and mentor students. Perform various

administrative duties as required or assigned. Maintain and safeguard confidential data under HIPAA and FERPA regulations. Adhere to university policies and procedures and maintain faculty expectations as required by the university, Michigan Board of Nursing, and accreditation.
