Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in Writing, Rhetoric, and Composition Studies, and/or Professional and Technical Writing, or related field along with an exemplary teaching record. This 9-month appointment carries a 4/4 teaching load and
offers a competitive salary. Job duties include developing and teaching both first-year composition and upper division writing courses and contributing to the program, department, and university through service engagements. About the DepartmentThe Writing Program offers a BA track and MA track in Writing and Rhetoric along with a successful certificate in Professional and Public writing. Our curriculum includes a
range of upper-division and graduate professional, technical, and community writing courses as well as a strong first-year writing sequence.
