date of July 1, 2026. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month academic appointment (3-year term, renewable at the rank of Assistant Professor) beginning July 1, 2026 This position is paid directly by Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center

(FHCC) and receives no UW compensation. Please refer to FHCC for information about compensation for this position. The successful candidate will be expected to enter a dynamic research environment focused on understanding the biology of cancer, its molecular and pathogenic origins, and its consequences to health. The candidate will be expected to perform the duties of a laboratory-based scientist whose work advances

our understanding of human disease mechanisms that will contribute to an understanding of the biological basis of solid cancers and translation to the clinic. Candidate are expected to build a substantial record of achievement in areas that include, but are not limited to: radiation biology, imaging, cell autonomous and non-cell autonomous mechanisms of cancer initiation, evolution, and/or metastasis;

genomics/systems biology; computational cancer biology; functional genomics; post-transcriptional gene regulation; novel therapeutics; and mechanisms of drug resistance. Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch.
