Position Details Position Description The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, with an anticipated start date of November 1, 2026. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The

successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment, with 3-year term, renewable if appointed at the Assistant Professor level. This posting will fill two openings, one at the Assistant Professor rank and one at the Associate Professor rank. UW Medicine is the premier academic medical center in Washington state, encompasses 4 hospitals in the Seattle metro area and is the

primary referral hospital for the five-state WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) region. The department supports a residency program, four fellowship programs and is a major teaching site for UW medical students. The base salary range per month will be $25,000 - $30,834 ($300,000 - $370,008 annually) at the Assistant Professor level and $31,667 - $37,500 ($380,004 - $450,000 annually) at the

Associate Professor level, with competitive total compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in

University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.
