of General Internal Medicine at the University of Washington, invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of October 1, 2026. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a
twelve-month appointment: July 1-June 30 (3-year term, renewable). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The base salary range for this position will be $9,000 - $12,500 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor
prevailing wage determination. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with Dr. James Floyd, Professor of Medicine and Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology, to lead research programs in cardiovascular disease epidemiology, genomics/omics, and Asian American health. Successful candidates will be expected to generate external funding support. The candidate will have extensive opportunities to work with
and train graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The CHRU is a highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary research environment with about 30 faculty, staff, and trainees. All University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service. Only full-time positions (100% FTE) are eligible for permanent residence sponsorship.
