Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of start date of September 1, 2026, but is flexible. The Division of Anatomic Pathology (AP) seeks a Neuropathologist to join our Neuropathology subspecialty service on the clinician educator track. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to

excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis. Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of

one month is available for paid time off. This position is full-time and non-tenured due to reasons of funding. The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professor range: $22,023 to $26,494 per month ($264,276 to $317,928 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary

provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. The primary clinical service responsibilities

will be case sign out in these diagnostic services as well as the associated teaching of medical/PA students, post-sophomore fellows, residents, and subspecialty fellows. UW AP faculty on this service also participate in intraoperative consultation service/on-call rotations. The successful candidate is expected to interact and foster relationships with clinicians and participate in interdisciplinary conferences
