The Baylor Interdisciplinary Core (BIC) seeks a full-time Assistant Professor of Sociology or Economics (or related social science discipline.) Tenure-track Teaching and research expectations will follow Baylor's Faculty Workload Policy, found here . The preferred candidate will have expertise in Sociology or Economics who can address questions of markets, morality and economic systems with a primary-text
curriculum, including but not limited to candidates with training in (1) economic sociology or anthropology (2) political economy, or (3) the history / theory of economics. The preferred candidate will have a research agenda capable of engaging audiences and questions beyond their home discipline, consistent with BIC's interdisciplinary mission. teaching across two of the following replacement core sequences in the BIC: World Cultures, Natural World, and Social World.
