with an anticipated start date of 1/2027. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month academic appointment, with an initial 3-year term that is renewable. This position is expected to specialize in molecular virology or bacteriology.
The base salary range for this position will be $10,500-$11,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. The successful candidate will be expected to: Establish and maintain an externally funded, innovative research program within the broad field of microbiology. Contribute to service and leadership within the department and university The Department of Microbiology provides a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, with access to state-of-the-art core facilities and strong connections to programs in infectious diseases, immunology, global health, and bioengineering. service. Qualifications Applicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications: - Applicants must have a PhD or foreign equivalent degree in microbiology or a related field.
