The Division of Pediatric Surgery within the Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking a full-time, board-eligible or board-certified Pediatric Surgeon to join a dynamic and growing practice. This position is available at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. We are specifically seeking a dedicated physician-scientist and practicing surgeon to

contribute to a well-established program with a commitment to excellence in scientific patient care, academic productivity, and innovative education. The successful candidate will be passionate about programmatic development, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing the division’s clinical and academic missions. Key Responsibilities Clinical Excellence & Collaboration Clinical Practice: Actively

participate in a robust clinical practice performing approximately 1,000 cases annually with consistent year-over-year growth. Team-Based Care: Collaborate effectively within a dedicated team of five Pediatric Surgeons and five Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Interdisciplinary Care: Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to intra- and interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient care and advance programmatic

goals. Health Equity: Actively participate in multidisciplinary efforts to streamline patient care with a specific focus on enhancing equity and justice. Research, Discovery & Innovation Research Program: Develop and maintain an independent or collaborative research program relevant to pediatric surgery, aimed at advancing scientific knowledge and improving patient outcomes. Basic Science Leadership: Play a key

leadership role in advancing the basic science and discovery components of the Division. Academic Contributions: Contribute to the academic mission through clinical outcomes research, quality and safety initiatives, trauma research, and the exploration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in pediatric surgery.
