Work invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in our MSW Program beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach across the curriculum (micro/macro practice, theory, policy and research) with a particular focus on embedding social justice principles into social work practice. Expectations for the position include teaching, advising

students, developing and maintaining an active research agenda, serving on University and Department committees, and developing a record of professional service in the greater community. The position is contingent upon the availability of authorized funding. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree in social work or related field and Master of Social Work Degree from accredited institution. 5 years post-MSW social

work practice experience in diverse individual and community settings. Ability to teach across the curriculum (micro/macro practice, theory, policy and research). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Commitment to the pursuit of social justice.• Possesses a clinical license or is license eligible.• Experience teaching foundation and advanced micro practice courses.• Experience and/or interest in curriculum development.•

Experience with or interest in digital learning in higher education.• Interest in teaching both face-to-face and hybrid courses.• Experience working with diverse populations/communities• Commitment to the pursuit of social justice.• Expressed interest in social work practice in the Central Valley of California.• Expressed interest in and commitment to teaching adult learners.• Knowledge, interest and skills necessary
