Department of Pediatrics is seeking an academic faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will be a full-time Columbia University faculty position with benefits. The individual must be able to advance medical knowledge and translate it into clinically relevant strategies for diagnosing and treating allergy and immunology conditions. The individual will be joining an actively growing and
expanding research and clinical operation covering a wide range of allergic and immunologic disorders and research programs. The ideal candidate should be a physician-scientist able to develop niche clinical programs, perform laboratory-based research in a mentored setting, and compete for independent research funding. RESPONSIBILITIES Establish an independent research program in basic and translational
immunology. Secure external grant funding for research programs. Establish scientific and translational collaborations with clinicians and immunologists within the division and across the institution. Deliver exceptional, specialized patient care with consistently excellent outcomes. Contribute to departmental initiatives, including quality improvement and patient safety efforts. Engage in continuing medical
education (CME) and maintain relevant advanced certifications. Serve as a trusted resource for complex cases and high-acuity patients. Achieve and maintain high patient satisfaction scores. Meet or exceed productivity targets.
