Job Description The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry, broadly defined. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or closely related field, and a minimum of one year of post-doctoral experience are required by the date of employment. The start date for the position is July 1, 2026.The individual hired is expected to develop a vibrant research

program as evidenced by:● A highly impactful scholarly output● Sustainable external funding● Leadership in their field● Effective mentorship of Ph.D. studentsThere are opportunities to develop collaborations within the Department and across the university in a variety of fields. Members of the Department are expected to demonstrate excellence in both teaching and mentoring an inclusive student population and to work

effectively with faculty, staff, and students across a wide range of disciplines. The Individual hired will be expected to display a strong commitment to teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels and to include undergraduates in their research program. Faculty in the Department assist in the administrative and governance functions of the department, the university, and the profession via service on
