The Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment in Music Theory beginning 1 July 2026. This is a three-year, renewable, non-tenure eligible position. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include teaching 3-4 theory or aural skills classes per semester. Collaborate with department faculty on summer placement
exams, training and supervision of Teaching Assistants for core theory and aural skill classes, departmental curriculum committees, and other relevant service work in the school or university. In compliance with the NY Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000.
