Position summary

The Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine in the Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member to join its growing and highly collaborative division. The Division oversees ambulatory programs within ColumbiaDoctors, the Faculty Practice Organization, and inpatient clinical programs with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (NYP) in both Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine. Faculty practice across two

NYP campuses. Clinical Programs The Division delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services: Inpatient Palliative Medicine Consult Services: Over 1,700 new consults and 8,800 follow-up visits annually. Palliative Care Admit Team (PCAT): A specialized mobile unit providing 24-hour in-house coverage for acute symptom management and end-of-life care. Cardiac Supportive Care Service: Provides palliative care

for complex cardiovascular patients, including those undergoing LVAD placement. Outpatient Palliative Medicine Service: More than 300 new patient visits and 1,300 follow-up visits annually. Position Responsibilities Responsibilities may include a combination of: Inpatient and/or outpatient clinical care in Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine Teaching and mentoring trainees across multiple disciplines Participation

in interdisciplinary care models Engagement in quality improvement, education, and/or research, based on candidate interests
