The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a psychologist to join the Gender and Sexuality Program in the Faculty Practice Organization at CUIMC. The Columbia Gender and Sexuality Program is comprised of a diverse and multidisciplinary team of experts devoted to serving the needs of transgender, nonbinary, and gender expansive children, adolescents, adults, and family members. Additionally, our program serves the needs
of the LGB community. This is a full time, clinical position that will involve seeing children, adolescents/adults, and their families. As the position will include direct clinical care, candidates should have demonstrated interest and expertise in working with sexual and gender minorities, including children, adolescents, and families. The Columbia Gender and Sexuality Program works closely with the Program for the
Study of LGBTQ+ Health, allowing for several opportunities for scholarship and research collaboration. Candidates with experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across disciplines and function within a multi-disciplinary team. The CUIMC FPO sees a mix of private pay and managed care patients and has a
particular focus on serving the Columbia Irving Medical Center community, among others.
