Job Description Position Summary The Department of Marketing at Colorado State University invites applications and nominations for a tenure-tenure track Assistant Professor in Marketing. This position reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Marketing at the College of Business. The start date for a Fall of 2027 appointment is August 16th, 2027. The Assistant Professor is expected to develop an

internationally recognized research program, teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, advise students, and provide service to the university and profession. The role will demonstrate a commitment to CSU’s mission through teaching, research, and/or service. Essential Job Duties Teach and mentor students at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, including course and curriculum development. Conduct and publish research, pursue external funding, and contribute to scholarly advancement in the field. Provide service to the

department, university, profession, and community in support of CSU’s mission. Other duties as assigned. Supervision Potential supervision of student employee(s) <0.5 FTE Conditions of Employment Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires) Minimum Qualifications Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in the Marketing or related field. ABD candidates will be considered with sufficient evidence

that the doctorate degree will be completed before August 15, 2027. Evidence of research productivity or strong potential to establish a sustainable scholarly program (e.g., publications, presentations, grant activity). Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Preferred Qualifications Articles accepted/published in premier and high-quality Marketing or related journals;

Evidence of an active research stream/pipeline in premier and high-quality journals; Evidence of teaching effectiveness; Teaching expertise or interest in one or more of the following: Contributing to the College’s interdisciplinary AI certificate initiative through teaching, curriculum development, or collaboration across business disciplines.
