College of Education Department/School Curriculum And Instruction Position Description The Department of Curriculum and Instruction seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a Faculty Field Supervisor for the year-long teacher residency program, with the potential to advance to the role of Regional Site Coordinator. The Faculty Field Supervisor is responsible for fulfilling all supervisory duties for teacher candidates

in clinical residency experiences, in accordance with requirements set by the Texas Education Agency and the university.In this role, the faculty Field Supervisor develops and sustains strong partnerships between the university and partner school districts to support the effective implementation and long-term success of the residency program. Reporting to the Co-Directors of Residency, this individual collaborates

with district and campus administrators, teaches courses within the residency program, supervises Resident Teachers, and contributes to ongoing program improvement through data-informed practices. The Faculty Field Supervisor serves as the university’s representative within assigned districts across the state, fostering collaborative relationships and promoting high-quality educator preparation. Required

Qualifications Master’s degree in an education-related field of study from an accredited university Teacher certification. A minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience in PK-12 schools. Demonstrated up-to-date knowledge in teacher preparation, research-based best practices and pedagogies, coaching-based supervision. Experience supervising novice teachers in their clinical experience in Texas. Experience

coordinating in a year-long teacher residency. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in an education-related field of study from an accredited university. Experience teaching academic courses in higher education. Texas teaching certificate.
